MICE THAT ROAR
GIVING THE LITTLE GUY A VOICE THAT CAN BE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD
The U-Haul Story in a Nutshell
We rented a U-Haul Trailer that ended up ramming the back of our vehicle repeatedly when it came off the hitch. U-Haul asked us to reattach the trailer and drive it to a) an auto parts store 37 miles away to ensure it was connected properly, b) drive it 150 miles home or c) wait two hours in the dark for someone to reattach it in the dark and have us drive it 150 miles home. U-Haul's insurance company, Repwest , denied our claim for damages stating that their equipment was not faulty and they had a video showing proper installation -- but they refuse to share the video or the inspection report without a subpoena. The insurance policy they sold to us when we rented the trailer was designed to cover damage to their trailer -- not our vehicle.
If you have had issues with U-Haul or are considering using their trailers, I encourage you to also check out the some of the sites below. After hearing some of the stories out there, I guess we were pretty lucky not to have had more damage or worse, personal injuries.
